Simulation is a technical approach to medical learning in witch the student has the oportunity to practice in a safe context, avoiding the risks of practicing in the real human body. Some actions that could only be demonstrated to the students now can be repeatedly practiced by them. Some special characteristics of this kind of learning using a complex human simulator, the elaboration of the practical scenarios and cases and the role of the instructor are described here.
