Involvement of the gastrointestinal tract by metastatic melanoma is a rare disease, the small bowel being the most common site. Commonly these patients are asymptomatic or manifest nonspecific symptoms. The resection of the metastases can provide palliative treatment with immediate relief of symptoms. Early diagnosis is essential if the measure is still potentially curative.
