Abstract

A survey was undertaken in July 1976, envolving 3096 children, with ages ranging from 0 to 14 years, attending the City of São Paulo State Public Health Centres, Brazil, with the aim of identifying the population still able to contract measles either because they had not the illness or because they had not been vaccinated. The survey also aimed at getting other local informations important to the epidemiological surveillance of measles.
