A hemagglutination-inhibition test for rubella is described. In comparing the results obtained using this technique and the CDC standard rubella hemagglutination-inhibition test, the sensitivity and specificity indexes were, respectively, 99.4% and 90.0%. This technique should simplify mass screening of populations for immunity to rubella.Downloads
