Abstract

The brazilian history was redifined and become fundamental to the "éthos brasilis" knowledgement. This was based on jesuit descriptions and scientists papers dated from XVIII Century. André João Antonil in his textbook "Brazil Culture and Opulence" showed a great field study to the tourism research, about traveler Brazilian itineraries. Antonil used a method closed to the "politicai economy method", inovating the information and created an itinerary series, which pointed out the first principies for touristic itinerary in Brazil.

Doutorando em Turismo pela Escola de Comunicações e Artes da USP (ECA/USP). Docente no curso de Turismo e Hotelaria da Universidade Estadual de Maringá e Universidade Norte do Paraná.
