O ensino da gerontología e geriatria nos cursos de graduação em Terapia Ocupacional

Abstract

This paper is pari of a research made on the so called "Survey on the current teaching stand of Gerontology and Geriatrics in Brazil". It is limited to the teaching of the said discipline on Occupational Therapy courses. Though this issue is thought to be of greal relevance and though Gerontology teaching has been ministered for more than ten years in several Brazilian Occupational Therapy courses, this professional has not succeeded yetin being absorbed by the labor market. Some hypothesis are drawn as well assome arguments are puton in view of its future outcomings.
