Programas de atendimento ao paciente psicótico-ambulatório de saúde mental

Abstract

The Program oi Attention to the Psychotic Patient attending to the Central Mental Health Ambulatory has, as its proposal, a comprehensive operational approach through a multidisciplinary working-team. From the data analysis on the medicai promptuaries concerning ali psychotic patients enrolled into this Ambulatory from 1983 to 1987, one can observe that those patients attended by the Program were the ones who presented a lesser member of internships during the treatment and who maintained themselves vinculated to the Institution for a greater lenght of time, compared with those patients who had been not attended by the Program. One can also see that the compliance to the treatment as well as the likelihood of not deserting from it during a 24 month-period were greater for the patients who complied themselves with a psychodynamic approach.
