The tematic of disability and work was approached using the axis of social inclusion/exclusion. The data were collected from semi-structured interviews with disabled people that work as street paddler in the city of São Paulo and from observations. The concrete and symbolic dimensions attributed to the work were analysed using the axes of sociability and integration on the workplace adopted by Robert Castel. The results shows that working on the traveling trade reveals moral and political degradation. It is opposed to citizenship, free expression of ideas and warranty of rights. Althoug, it provides social interaction that includes conflicts, but also solidarity and friendships. The travelling trade is also a modality of economic integration. It occurs in the gap of capitalist production. So, the workers behave to an extensive social relationships net.
