Abstract

This article proposes a musing on the ideas about staging and their relationship with the dramatic text in the work of Antonin Artaud, from his gaze on the painting The daughters of Loth by Lucas van den Leyden. Taking as a reference the current discussions on theatricality and postdramatic postulates, this article also proposes pointing how much the contemporary theater is tributary of the Artaudian legacy.
