Interculturalism in debate: tensions and articulations of a disputed field

What are the intersections and frictions that occur when we analyze the phenomenon of interculturalism from the perspective of postcolonial theories? How can these thoughts enhance our reflections and the creative processes of those who move between spaces of cultural difference? Based on these questions, this study mapped Jacqueline Lo and Helen Gilbert’s transcultural practices, Rustom Bharucha’s criticisms of interculturalism, and Royona Mitra’s propositions for a new interculturalism based on the analysis of the work of choreographer Akram Khan.
