Abstract

Global theatre histories are a new field of research with a historiographical character, which has been outlined along with the theatre history, bringing out new multidisciplinary perspectives based on the globalization phenomenon. Creation, production, and distribution of theatre as a commodity, and the performance of international theatrical networks (tours) are some of the issues which support transnational opportunities to maximize the value of theatre as well as the mobility of artists, theatre companies and entrepreneurs since the mid-nineteenth century.
