Abstract

The purpose of this text is to analyze the relationship between Literacy and Adult Education of Mozambican women in school classes with the influences and interferences of African cultures in the educational process. In this perspective, we are faced with attempts to recover the history and memory of living African traditions, such as the girl's transition to being a woman; the preparation ritual for the promised marriage [forced or premature]; the celebration of marriage by the lobolo ceremony, as a practice authorized by the bride's family, among other events that, taken together, represent part of the expression of cultural heritage with effects on female illiteracy.
