The development of care pathways is essential to ensure the sexual and reproductive health and rights of women and people who can become pregnant. Given its fundamental features and role within the healthcare network, Primary Health Care is a strategic area to overcome abortion care inequities in Brazil. In this context, we invited ABEFACO and the Women in Family and Community Medicine Working Group of SBMFC to discuss the topic, taking into account the current state of the art and recommendations for developing care pathways. To conduct the written interview, each entity designated representatives with expertise in the field, who received a structured set of questions and instructions, and responded collectively to the proposed questions. The final version, which compiles the contributions from both entities, was approved by the interviewees and the boards of ABEFACO and SBMFC. There is a shared commitment to ensuring comprehensive care in the various abortion situations - both in professional practice and within the organization and delivery of healthcare services - in alignment with the values of the right to health and reproductive justice.
