Abstract

The importance of DNA studies in the maternity and paternity investigations are emphasized by the author, raising questions about the certainty of results obtained with this new technology. Although DNA polymorphism is a very promising test, its methods and techniques cannot be considered as infalible from the scientific point of view, judges being help captives by their results.
