Comparative analyse between physical anthropologic expertise, autopsy exam and violence

Abstract

Data obtained by the Department of Physical and Forensic Anthropology of the Nina Rodrigues Forensic Medicine Institute (city of Salvador, state of Bahia) from 1994 to 1996 were analyzed by the author. The results were compared to general necropsy exams of the same period and external causes of death are outlined in order to verify if the findings of these expertise are compatible. It is concluded that the data obtained are very similar to those found in the analysis of general violence.
