The author takes as a departing point a definite concept of text, and basing his work upon rhetorical principles, he studies some figurative aspects of the vangard poetry, from the first quarter of our century. To emphasize his point, he tries to isolate two different figurative processes, concerning, to the mode of manifestation, on poems of Apollinaire and Cesar Vallejo. The work shows the following results: in Apollinaire's poetry predominates a geometric form, expressed by means of signifiants materialities in which the figures obtained are disposed in such way that it makes them visible iconically; in Vallejo's poetry, however, the geometric form is hidden in the materiality of the verbal signifiant and it is visible only in those figures that are formed by the disposition, on the text, of elements from the plane of the expression.Downloads
