This article analyzes the film Once I entered a garden (2012), by Avi Mograbi, in light of the notion of the cohabited image. Guided by the conversation between the protagonists (the filmmaker and his friend Ali Al-Azhari), the film scenes are affected – in its sensitive materiality – by the interaction between characters that belong to different worlds (Arabs and Jews), allowing them to share a common space, open to differences and equality.
