To say that a text is syncretic only makes sense if tension with the discrete is present. The concepdon ofthis tension is based on three types of metamorphoses: a) intra-signic metamorphosis, a rarefying, desyncretizing semiotic operation; b) intratextual metamorphosis, discoursive operation that makes it be the artistic sign par excellence: the semi-symbol; c) inter-semiotic metamorphosis: syncrelizing operation which makes it be an "imagerie" (an emblcmatic configuration of a culture or of a period o f this culture).Downloads
