Abstract

Documentary can be produced to television or cinema and it is often confused with TV journalism. ls there a proper language to each media or its esthetícs is the same for both? The appearing ofTV on cinema and cinema on TV can be understood as a type of intertextuality. This pape r intends to analyze the appearance o f TV journalism on Bus 174 documentary, by José Padilha. This movie ís composed of an incident broadcasted live by Brazilian television. lmage and dialogue gathering, in greater share ofthe movie weren't directed to cinema, but to television broadcasting. Nevertheless, film composing reveals ít is possible to escape the pre shaped dialogical TV pattern, researching a polyphonic text that stimulate analysis, interpretation and debate.
