This work is interested in questioning probable genesis of the road
movie genre, considering historical aspects related to the origins
of film genres, in a broader sense, as much as to the road movies
specifically. In this sense, it is a reflection that results from the
comparison of texts by various authors, researchers and filmmakers,
who have invested in the road movie in their productions, especially,
among others, achievements from Brazil.
