The space of representation in pictorial and photographic portraits is crucial for the structure of bodily expressiveness. Considering the role for painters and photographers in stimulating meaningful expansions, this essay is an attempt to identify an iconographic metaphor as a result of the interpenetration of two different plastic figures and to analyse its surrealistic attachments to an androgynous configuration.Downloads
