This study investigated the standard of alcoholic drink consumption among university students. We carried out a quantitative and descriptive study, in a sample of 105 female students, in the 1st to 4th year of an undergraduate nursing course at a state university in São Paulo, using a questionnaire and the Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test (AUDIT test). According to the ingested quantity, drinkers with moderate and high consumption of alcoholic drinks were identified, indicating a potential risk for health, for becoming frequent alcoholic drink consumers in the future and, hence, for impairing their professional career.
