Recognition of psychiatrist Jurandyr Manfredini among students of the Nursing School Alfredo Pinto, 1954-1955

Historical-social study, based on document analysis, about the recognition by students from the Nursing School Alfredo Pinto (EEAP) to the psychiatrist Jurandyr Manfredini, granting him the first designation of their Academic Board. When he assumed the management of the National Service of Mental Diseases, Manfredini developed a close relationship with the students at EEAP, being active not only in administrative functions but also in social actions. Manfredini won the students' admiration by defending their interests. Thus, the students granted the psychiatrist the distinction of becoming the first designation of the Academic Directorate at EEAP.
