Abstract

Part of Brazilian criticism of poetry has frequently expressed a feeling of dissatisfaction towards the contemporaneous production, especially because of the weakening challenges this kind of production has brought to itself Nevertheless, if it is im ­ portant to analyze the questions poetry puts to itself it is also sensible to ask what kind of questions criticism has made in relation to poetry. The “lost delusions of poetry’ seem to indicate an impasse which is faced by critical writing itself
