Abstract

In this article it has been compared Maimonides commentaries on the cosmogonies of Aristotle and Plato in The Guide for the Perplexed, and a translation of fragments from the Plato´s Timaeus, establishing a comparative commentary on the cosmogonies of Aristotle, Plato and Jewish one; departing from this, it is proposed a research line. This article´s origin has been a lecture realized in the post graduation course taught by prof. Henrique G. Murachco of São Paulo University: Plato- Timaeus - Proposal of a linear reading.
