The text analyses the movie Chufshat Kaitz (My father, my lord) by David Volach, a 2007 Israeli production. The text intends to relate in the filmic universe and in the script development the question of women’s silence, socially constructed in a paternalistic society. Questions about Jewish law linked to episodes of loss and disbelief are also analyzed.
