Abstract

This article aims to analyze the presence of elements of strangeness and alienation in Saul Bellow’s novel Mr. Sammler's Planet, two common themes in his works. In this novel, these elements are represented in a peculiar way, leading towards a reflection about generation gaps, the trauma of the Holocaust and the position of the Jews within the diversity of American society.
