Acquisition of hebrew as a foreign language and strategies of gender inflection processing

This study investigates how beginner students build knowledge in the acquisition of Hebrew as a foreign language (L2), considering that it has many features that are not present in Portuguese (L1). In order to exemplify and discuss the transfer of the L1 parameter values, our study is based on the analysis of gender inflection with the aim of examining whether the gender inflection in Hebrew has a more universal or a more particular character.
