Author Biographies

  • Gabriela Celani, Universidade Estadual de Campinas

    is an Architect and Urbanist and holds a Master’s degree, a PhD and a Livre-Docente degree in Architecture and Urbanism. She is a Full Professor of Architecture and Urbanism at the State University of Campinas - UNICAMP, Brazil, where she coordinates the Laboratory of Automation and Prototyping for Architecture and Construction – LAPAC. Her main research interests include computational design methods and technologies, with applications in CAD, CAM, and digital manufacturing. She works on rapid prototyping, digital manufacturing, 3D scanning, and the design process automation. She currently coordinates the physical-spatial component of the International Hub for Sustainable Development Project at UNICAMP.

  • Marcelo Tramontano, Universidade de São Paulo. Instituto de Arquitetura de Urbanismo

    Architect, holds a Master's degree, Ph.D., and Livre-Docente degree in Architecture and Urbanism, with a Post-doctorate in Architecture and Digital Media. He is an Associate Professor at the Institute of Architecture and Urbanism of the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil, and the Graduate Program in Architecture and Urbanism of the same institution. He directs Nomads.usp - Center for Interactive Living Studies and is the Editor-in-Chief of V!RUS Journal.
