Abstract

This paper aims to construe the elaboration of the theme of knowledge about the geopolitical conflict in the work “ Sunzi’s Art of War ”. This approach seeks to advance the current interpretations on this book. The historical question elaborated in it regards a geopolitical problem that has in war its condition of existence, which defines the Warring States Period (c. V–III BCE). Undertaking war implies a very intricate strategical knowledge. The interpretation here shown is based on the exam of chapters one, two, three and thirteen of the aforementioned book, chapters that are concerned about the way and sources of knowledge and its necessity.
