Abstract

Microscopic lesions in pancreas of Eurytrema sp naturally infected cattle (n=41) were classified into four different gradations, according to the extension of the lesions on the mucosa of pancreatic ducts. Then, by taking the parasite load and number of eggs per gram of faeces (EPG) of each animal, the lesion gradations found were satisfactorily infered, but is was showed that the first parameter is a better measure to estimate lesion extension than the EPG.
