  • Carlos Daghlian, Universidade Estadual Paulista

    DAGHLIAN, Carlos has recently retired as Professor of North-American Literature at the State University of São Paulo (UNESP) after a long and distinguished career. He is President of the Brazilian Association of University Lecturers of English (ABRAPUI), a post he has held since 1976. He has published work on Herman Melville, Emily Dickinson, Edgar Allan Poe, Jack London and Gwendolyn Brooks, amongst others. His contribution to studies on Emily Dickinson was recognised by the Emily Dickinson International Society in 2001, in the form of a biographical entry in the Society’s bulletin.
