    Mariana Bolfarine is a member of ABEI (Brazilian Association of Irish Studies) and holds an MA in English literatures from the University of São Paulo. She is a PhD 
    candidate at the same university and her thesis focuses on drama and fiction about Roger Casement. She has translated the book Roger Casement in Brazil: Rubber, the
    Amazon and the Atlantic World 1884-1916 (2010) into Portuguese and co-translated and co-edited the Portuguese version of The Amazon Journal of Roger Casement (forthcoming 2015).
