Neuropatia diabética: fisiopatologia, clínica e eletroneuromiografia

A neuropatia afeta a maioria dos diabéticos de longa evolução. Sua melhor compreensão é de fundamental importância na formação de um correto raciocínio clínico. As principais vias fisiopatológicas conhecidas, a apresentação clínica e os achados eletrofisiológicos são revisados por meio de pesquisa na MedLine e alguns dados pessoais são apresentados. O conhecimento da fisiopatologia, da clínica e da eletrofisiologia são essenciais para uma abordagem crítica e racional dessa heterogênea e complexa patologia.
