Avaliação da qualidade de vida e função em amputados bilaterais de membros inferiores: revisão da literatura

Resumo

Amputação de membros inferiores é uma condição de saúde crônica comum e importante causa de incapacidade em longo prazo. Independentemente da causa, a amputação traz uma dramática mudança funcional, prejudicando muitos aspectos da vida diária e conseqüentemente da qualidade de vida (QV). Objetivo: Este estudo tem como objetivo revisar os artigos publicados sobre pacientes com amputação bilateral dos membros inferiores e identificar os instrumentos utilizados para avaliar qualidade de vida e função. Método: Foi realizada busca de artigos científicos em bases de dados eletrônicas (MedLine, PubMed e LILACS) e por meio de busca não eletrônica, a partir das referências dos artigos selecionados, sem restrição do ano de publicação, nos idiomas português, inglês, francês e espanhol. Resultados: Foram incluídos 29 estudos. Conclusão: Não foi encontrada uma classificação clínica específica globalmente aceita para esta população, e poucos questionários podem ser aplicados a todas as culturas para permitir ao profissional de saúde comparar e compartilhar o desfecho de pessoas com amputação bilateral de membros inferiores.
