Plasma rico em plaquetas (PRP) é um concentrado autólogo de plaquetas derivado de sangue do próprio paciente (Carr et al.). Na resposta orgânica à lesão, dá-se início a um processo regenerativo como resposta ao dano tecidual, auxiliado principalmente por plaquetas (Chiavaras et al.).
