Equinoideos y asteroideos de la colección del Instituto Oceanógrafico de la Universidad de San Pablo: segunda contribución

Abstract

In this second contribution the author refers the equinoids and asteroids of the Oceanographical Institute collection (São Paulo University - Brazil), obtained at the brazilian coast, from Fernando de Noronha island to near Uruguay (Palmas). In this paper there are 14 species pertaining to 9 families. On studying the geographical distribution, the author has observed with special interest, that species like Mellita platensis, Astropecten brasiliensis and A. cingulatus go on to the south in its distribution, reaching the Buenos Aires Provincia.
