Habronema and Draschia: occurrences in equines, asinines and mules from some brazilian states

Thirty-seven Equus caballus, 18 Equus asinus and 22 mules from the States of Maranhão, Piauí, Ceará, Rio Grande do Norte, Paraíba, Pernambuco, Minas Gerais and Goiás had their stomachs examined to collect spirurid worms, andthe following species were found: Draschia megastoma (Rudolphi, 1819), Habronema muscae (Carter, 1861) and Habronema microstoma (Schneider, 1866). Prevalences, mean intensities and Male/Female ratios are considered. The variance analyses showed that no significant statistical differences ocurred among the mean intensities of H. muscae and H. Microstoma.
