This article explores the territory of the Uruguay-Brazil border through images such as: estuary; sea; river; wind; dust, which recur in the works of various artists. From this perspective, we consider geography and the relationships of writers and musicians with their environments through spatial and linguistic relations that, in turn, speak to the identity, ecosystems, nonhuman lives, and spoken language of border populations, especially those on the urban periphery.
