Literature of the movement: the Bolivian narrative of migration

This article develops the idea that part of Bolivia's contemporary literary production can be considered a “literature of movement” since it focuses on configuring diverse modes of migration, numerous ways of figuring spatialities tied to particular subjective representations. In this text, I will present two movements in particular: on the one hand, the impact of the arrival of foreigners to national soil and, on the other, the imagination, the desire, of migration; the narration of the moment before this migration occurs. To this end, I designed a corpus restricted to the stories “La venezolana” (The Venezuelan) (2022) by Rodrigo Urquiola Flores, “Cuando llueve parece humano” (When it Rains It Seems Human) (2021) by Giovanna Rivero, and the novel Seúl, São Paulo (2021) by Gabriel Mamani Magne.
