Abstract

The present article deals with practical the educational protestants in Sergipe, from the decade of 80 of century XIX, taking as reference the educational project implemented by North American presbyterians missionaries, for having been the responsible ones for the insertion of the prostentatismo in that State. The printed matter distribution and the organization of schools, had been the main strategies used for that denomination to expand the truth registered in the Bible. Those schools become privileged objects of analysis of the circulation processes, appropriation and production of North American pertaining to school standards, for having extended its radius of action for beyond the immigrated groups and will be taken root through different mechanisms in the Brazilian pertaining to school culture, considering that in Brazil the education functioned  as road for the ticket of the North American culture and its Brazilian insertion in ground.
