Violência artificial: violência contra mulheres e o lado obscuro da inteligência artificial

Resumo

A violência contra as mulheres está se tornando cada vez mais um fenômeno global, envolvendo milhões de pessoas em todo o mundo, reforçando a condição de desigualdade social que historicamente relegou as mulheres a uma posição subordinada, dentro de uma estrutura de desigualdade e discriminação. O desenvolvimento das tecnologias digitais (Web 2.0, mídias sociais, plataformas digitais) e, mais recentemente, da inteligência artificial, está contribuindo para o surgimento de novas formas de violência, às vezes mais insidiosas do que as tradicionais, levantando questões sobre como combatê-las. Especificamente, o artigo propõe uma reflexão teórica sobre as novas formas de violência digital possibilitadas pela tecnologia, com foco no caso do chatbot Replika. A expansão qualitativa e quantitativa da violência impõe novos desafios à mídia-educação, principalmente no que diz respeito à necessidade de projetar e propor novas formas de prevenção adequadas a esse novo cenário e de fortalecer a alfabetização específica em IA.
