This article’s object is constituted by the moral speeches in the sitcom A Grande Familia, exhibited by Globo television network, as well as by its reception. We selected 14 episodes from 2004 to form the research corpus. As research methodology, we chose working with focus groups, which revealed the contents of manifestations stimulated by scenes previously edited according to the moral impasse they proposed. We highlighted, from the researched people, the arguments of two characters: Lineu and Agostinho.
