The author, with the experience here exposed, shows the development of a method used for the inclusion of transversal themes in educative practice as proposed in the Brazilian National Curricular Parameters. This proposal was implemented with students-teachers of the school subject Sciences Teaching Methodology, of the course Pedagogy in Special Regime of Universidade Estadual Vale do Acarau (UVA) in Sao Luis, Maranhao. The environment was the theme selected for this work, which was programmed to be developed with inside and outside classroom activities. It involved steps as sensitization and environment perception, space and thematic approach, field work and report making, which supported the interpretative analysis and the evaluation of results. It was possible to confirm the validity of this methodological proposal that, besides the learning, allows the participants a moment of reflection and revision on the practical work, suggesting possible ways for new achievements and updates of the educative work.
