The present article analyzes the impact of the reading of Calvina from Carlo Frabetti (children´s literature), using as a starting point some aspects of the reception and reader-response theories. We start with the distinction between literary works concretely that influence readers and the ones that emphasize fun as the reader’s main response in order to discuss the possibilities of influencing and amusing readers and also the individual and the collective impact of reading, the progression and regression of readers from their identification with the characters of the work.
