Interfacing Gender Studies and Translation Studies comes as an important fragment to be studied since the transmission of intellectual work is found in ongoing discussions intermediated through translation which faces cultural issues. Nonetheless, there are issues regarding power relations which “centralize” certain academic cores. However, this has already been very visible among several authors who urge to make other countries visible; they are often seen as “peripherical” in the field of production of academic knowledge regarding Gender Studies; they also deal with the need of extending the dialogue more universally. Cultural translation comes as a crucial factor to disseminate these several discourses.
