OSCAR MASOTTA AND ROLAND BARTHES. STRUCTURAL HOMOLOGIES OF AN AVANT-GARDE CRITICISM

The article proposes a comparative reading of the works of Oscar Masotta and Roland Barthes up to the 1970s. In these authors Beatriz Sarlo and Pierre Bourdieu have respectively seen a symptom of the age. Thus, rather than setting our attention on the content of their works, we propose reading based on the discovery of a structural homology: Masotta and Barthes share the same position as enunciators. As will be shown in the article, this position is tied to the precariousness of their institutional stand and a resolute commitment to the intellectual avant-garde.Downloads
