The night of singing women is the tenth novel published by Lídia Jorge, one of the most important Portuguese writers today. In the novel’s plot, in a play of light and shadow, as the narrative goes towards the end, revelations of a sexual nature will shake the relationship of João de Lucena and Solange de Matos, which can be understood in this article in the light of gender studies.
