Between voices and visions: reader emancipation in Aos 7 e aos 40, by João Anzanello Carrascoza

Abstract

In Aos 7 e aos 40 (2013), novel by João Anzanello Carrascoza awarded by the National Foundation for Children’s and Young People’s Books (FNLIJ), there is a complex structure, with emphasis on the role that different narrators and points of view assume and effects of meaning resulting from this formal elaboration. In this regard, this article aims to analyze the construction of narrators and points of view in the novel aforementioned, in order to demonstrate the role they performed throughout the plot and to what extent they contribute to challenge the young reader.
