Poetry, experience and memory: Notes on the fictionalization of the lyrical speaker in Ana Paula Tavares's literary work

Throughout history there have been many different statuses for the function of the
“lyrical speaker”, which was frequently confused with the figure of the author. However,
modern critical theories reconfigured the central space that was often assigned for the subject
in the lyrical genre, endorsing the cross-cutting discussions between fiction and poetry,
according to Dominique Combe’s remarks. Based on this theoretical-critical discussion, this
article proposes a reflection about the poetic work of the angolan writer Ana Paula Tavares.
